What a year. As I look back on the 400+ sessions I photographed across Richmond and the surrounding area, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. From tiny newborns curled up in their first days at home to heirloom portraits, lively kid sessions, and full extended family gatherings—you invited me into so many meaningful moments, and it truly means the world.
This year took me everywhere: cozy in-home newborn sessions, sun-soaked fields for family photos, front-porch portraits with grandparents, and playful kid sessions that turned into some of my favorite images. Every session reminded me why I love being a Richmond family photographer. No two families are the same, and no two seasons look alike.
One of the biggest honors of this year was how many of you came through word-of-mouth recommendations. Every time someone tells me, “A friend sent me your way,” I could burst with gratitude. Your trust keeps this little business thriving, and your referrals are the heartbeat of M.Photo.
And of course—fall season was its usual whirlwind in the best possible way. Over 250 sessions in a three month period is something I don’t take lightly. Thank you for showing up with big smiles, wild kids, patient partners, and a willingness to embrace whatever the moment brought.
As I look ahead to next year, I’m excited to continue documenting Richmond families in every season of life. If you’re hoping for a newborn session, heirloom portrait, or family session in the coming year, now’s the perfect time to reach out. I can’t wait to photograph your crew.
